"I enjoy taking pictures near my 22 acre pond in Milton, Vermont and travel thoughout Northwestern Vermont in search of the "perfect picture". My speciality is birds and wildlife, however I enjoy photographing all of the beauty of Vermont and beyond. Some of my exhibits have included: "Birds of Prey"; "Utter Love" (Cows); "Winter Wonderland" (Landscapes in Vermont); and "Memories of the Past". You can view my photography at the Milton Artist's Guild in Milton, VT and at ArtHound in Essex, VT year-round. In addition, I am invited to show my photography at a variety of locations such as cafes, libraries, hospitals and other public spaces. My camera of choice is a Nikon P1000, however I also use a Nikon P900 and Nikon D5600.
I hope you will enjoy my photographs. You can reach me at pondhousebirds.com."

In September 2015, Sharon was diagnosed with a rare auto-immune disease and began taking pictures of birds as a distraction from the medications and treatments. Her goal was to document different species of birds on her 22 acre pond in Milton, Vermont. Friends loved her photos and encouraged her “to do something with them” so in December 2016, Sharon created her first bird calendar and “Pond House Birds Photography” was born. In January 2017, she joined the Milton Artists’ Guild and began displaying her work in their art center and gallery and other retail spaces including Art Hound in Essex and New England Collective at the University Mall (during the holiday season). Since then, her photographs have been displayed throughout Vermont and Northern New York in libraries, hospitals, credit unions, cafes and other public spaces. She has participated in numerous arts and craft shows in Vermont including the Art and Stroll in Milton, South End Art Hop, Waterbury Art Fair, Festival of the Arts in Cambridge, and the Vermont Flower Show. Her birds have been featured at the Missisquoi Wildlife Refuge in Swanton and the Birds of Vermont Museum.in Huntington. Sharon is a member of the Milton Artists' Guild, and South End Arts and Business Association.
Sharon uses a Nikon P1000, a Nikon P900 and a Nikon D5600 to create her images. More of Sharon’s work can be seen at www.pondhousebirds.com or on Facebook (Sharon Radtke).
